一个中级SA的职业需求

晚上登陆 LinkedIn 整理信息时发现了这条已经 reject 掉的 offer，仔细看了下，觉得还有价值的，比较符合通用的职业需求。在这里详细整理一下，再加上自己的最近的一些想法。

这是一个顶级的游戏公司的招聘，具体是哪家公司，大家看完后应该可以猜到。
Required Skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

人际交往能力，表达与交流能力。属于比较基本的需求，也是我相对较为缺乏的。
• Capability of writing purchase justifications, training users in complex topics, making presentations to an internal audience, and interacting positively with upper management

撰写采购需求，做报告并引导对复杂问题的讨论。对有价值的发现，要善于引起上级团队的重视。
• An in-depth understanding of a UNIX-based operating system, including system installation/configuration, file system concepts, resource monitoring, user administration, kernel tuning, package management, and process control/management

可谓言简意赅的覆盖了SA基本的日常工作：对UNIX有深入的理解，系统安装、配置，理解文件系统、资源监控、用户管理、内核调优、包管理、进程的控制与管理。
• An in-depth understanding of UNIX network services–specifically, the ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot TCP/IP-based services such as DHCP, DNS, SMTP, NFS, and HTTPD

熟悉网络，能安装配置常见的基于 TCP/IP 的服务。
• Knowledge of SAN and NAS principles, experience deploying and maintaining various storage solutions

熟悉SAN，NAS，有配置和维护多种存储的经验。
• Ability to write scripts in an administrative language (Perl, Python or shell)
• Hands-on experience with large-scale hardware deployment, installation and troubleshooting

脚本编写及大规模的服务器部署经验。
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows, user administration, networking, and IIS 5/6

这条有点莫名其妙了。windows的用户管理，网络及IIS的维护
• Any individual that has experience with “Red Hat Linux” is preferred • Fluent in English and Mandarin.

不知是不是有钱的公司会选择RedHat，SLES，没钱的喜欢用CentOS和Debian？
Experience Requirement
• 3-5 years of system administration experience with an emphasis in managing customer-facing applications and services

需要是面向最终用户的系统维护经验。也就是说，明白哪些操作会影响到User experience，哪些不会。减少不必要的对用户心灵的伤害。
Desirable Background and Skills
• A degree in computer science or a related field
• Significant programming background in any applicable language

Responsibilities Include:
• Receiving general instructions from a supervisor

从上级主管拿到概括性的需求，需要自己去发现合适的实现方法。

• Administering a complex site alone or assisting in the administration of a larger site

独立维护站点，协助维护大站点。需要对业务逻辑有较好的把握。
• Helping plan and initiate future growth of the site/network

随着服务的扩大，能及时准备必要的升级。
• Managing novice system administrators or operators

对入职新手的指点与管理
• Evaluating and/or recommending purchases (these recommendations will have a strong influence on the purchasing process)

同样如上。对服务增长的预测与采购建议。
• Sharing in off-hour/on-call duties
SA的空闲时间是系统分配的。

与国内的招聘相比，它在工作内容上做了更完善的定义。尤其是考虑到了服务增长时的应对方法。从JD上看，这样的公司需求比较清晰，也给了员工更多自己的思维空间。这应该是暴雪公司的招聘了。
